Hello and welcome! My name is Michelle O’Neil. I am a yoga teacher, a registered nurse, a writer, wife, and mother in beautiful upstate SC!

Yoga:

I took my first yoga class as a stressed out nursing student in 1997, and completed my first 200-hour yoga teacher training in South Florida in 2013 at Yoga Journey. I completed my 500-hour RYT training with Caroline Wybar in September 2023.

I am trained in teaching trauma centered yoga. I have experience teaching corporate yoga classes, private yoga, classes for groups and individuals of all ages including veterans, foster kids, children with autism, and parents of those with special needs.

I love teaching the 55 + crowd, and I’m inspired by the wisdom of those a little further along this path of life than me.

I have a special place in my heart for caregivers. And I love teaching beginners.

I am available for private classes customized just for you. Contact me to schedule your first session!

Writing:

I’ve contributed to A Cup of Comfort for Parents of Children with Autism, and Special Gifts: Women Writers on the Heartache, the Happiness and the Hope of Raising a Special Needs Child. I’ve written for Literary Mama, The Imperfect Parent, Age of Autism, The Bark Magazine, Cool Cleveland, and many other on-line venues, including a professional journal for occupational therapists. I wrote the blog for Boca Raton’s Yoga Journey for over two years. I am a former radio news reporter/editor and my pieces were featured during NPR’s Morning Edition on WAMU in Washington, DC. In addition, I have a bachelor’s degree in nursing, with a background in mother/baby care. I currently work as a nurse in the field of addiction. I am working on Dog Park, a novel about a cast of characters whose lives become entangled after meeting at a dog park. One of the main dogs in the book is named Choco, a sweet Dachshund who loves to run and attempts to keep up with the big dogs.
